A world-wide girls’ project asked me to pick a female to student and have her explain her wishes for girls in her country. Nthabiseng is the one I chose. She is one of my brightest students and the only one to ever get a 100 percent on one of my exams. Not only is she smart, but she puts the work in. She knows that when she doesn’t get something she just needs to ask. She was voted head girl this year. I sponsored her last year through the Friends of Lesotho Tuition Assistance Program, but the principal and I decided she should receive a government scholarship so fees are covered through high school. This girl’s future is sparkling.
